with special guest: Pindian (Facebook, Instagram)
The Gettin’ Higher Choir presents “Sharing the Flame”.
Our guest, Pindian, is a Kwakwa̲ka̲’wakw and Nuu-Cha-Nulth hiphop artist, and will take the stage with Sammy K on bass and Sina Valizadeh on drums.
The choir will bring some newer folk tunes from the US and UK, a Canadian classic rock hit, an old Ukrainian folk song, and more, with opportunities to sing along.
With Pindian, we have plans for mashing up some traditions, including his own rapping, and a soulful hiphop tune from the 1990s.
