A quick reminder of the advantages of reading the PDF version of the newsletters that are available by clicking on any of the dated links on this page.

  • They look exactly the way they were sent out. (Formatting, fonts, colours, indentations, etc.) They are, therefore, easier to read for those of you whose email programs accept text only.
  • They can be searched by names and key words or phrases.  For example you might want to find your own item in an issue quickly, or any item for which you know the submmitter's name, or you might want to search for all items containing a specific word such as "workshop." (see "How to search..." below)
  • If you want/need to copy an item from the PDF of an issue and paste it into another document or an email (ie re-submitting and item to me) simply click on the "Select" tool in your Adobe Reader window and then select and copy the desired text.

HOW TO SEARCH THE NEWSLETTERS IN THESE ARCHIVES

If you want to find an item that was in a past newsletter go to you can do so by:

1) Opening issues within a likely time frame
2) Clicking "Ctrl F" on a Windows computer or "AppleF" on a Mac
3) Entering in the "Find" box that appears...a name, or any word or phrase that you think was, or might have been, in the item.,
4) Hitting “Enter” to find instances of what you have entered in the "Find" box
5) Repeat 1 to 4 above until you find what you are looking for or decide you can't.

Please note that these newsletters are archived as pdf files and the above directions are for a recent version of the Adobe Reader program that opens them. If you have an older version of Adobe Reader the procedure may be slightly different. If that is your situation you can either check your version's various menus until you locate "Find" or you can download a more recent version of the reader as described in the light blue box above.

If you are not successful in finding what you want, then please contact me and I will do my best for you. As always an email to bill@gettinhigherchoir.ca is the best way to contact me but you are also welcome to phone 250-920-4160 (8 to 8 weekdays).
