the High Noon Choir

The High Noon Choir invites all who like to sing in harmony to join us on Tuesdays from high noon – 1:30 pm at the Church of Truth (111 Superior Street) for lively and joyous sessions of song.

Directed by Shivon Robinsong, founder of the Gettin’ Higher Choir, the High Noon Choir provides a place for singers who are looking for a daytime outlet for their voices.

Our repertoire is eclectic, including but not limited to world music, spirituals, African freedom songs, various rounds and chants, as well as some contemporary music. You do not need to know how to read music as much of the music is learned by oral tradition.

Fee per 12-week season: $80–100, sliding scale. Some scholarships are available.

Each season lasts 12 weeks, and there are three seasons per year.

2010 Seasons

Winter Season runs January 5 through March 23.

Spring Season runs March 30 through June 15.

Fall Season runs September 28 through December 14.

New singers are always welcome!

There will be orientations for them before choir at 11:30 for the first two weeks of every season.
